At CNBC's "Your Money, Your Vote: The Republican Presidential Debate," Lindsey Graham took a familiar position, selling himself as the military candidate and repeating that he should be the next Commander in Chief. So it should come as no surprise that he was tossed what was really a softball from Jim Cramer regarding Pataki's answer to a national security question. Graham's big moment to get tough was here. Verdict? No joy.
"Senator Graham, you're a hawk. Was that tough enough?" Cramer yells. "Here's the problem," begins Graham in a soft voice, followed by a pause.
Graham tries to pull it out with a soft of impersonation of a tough guy line.
"The party's over to all to the dictators. Make me Commander in Chief and this crap stops."
It was total fumble. An awkward, poorly organized, poorly delivered attempt to sound tough. It was a moment that pretty much reflected his entire performance, to include his closing remarks.
