Google App Redesign Puts News from ‘Multiple Viewpoints’ in Your Feed

Here is what we want you to think.

It appears as though Google wants to make sure its users are well-rounded when it comes to personal politics. And so, it has redesigned its app to include “multiple viewpoints” in your news feed.

Google’s Vice President of Engineering Shashi Thakur said:

"To provide information from diverse perspectives, news stories may have multiple viewpoints from a variety of sources, as well as other related information and articles. And when available, you’ll be able to fact check and see other relevant information to help get a more holistic understanding about the topics in your feed."

Now, you don’t have to be worried about all that “fake news” clogging up your feed. Like Facebook, Google knows you better than you know you and will let you know how to think.

“The more you use Google, the better your feed will be," Thakur added.

But as Fox News reports, the app is only the first to get the change. The desktop version is next in line, as is Calendar and YouTube.

“By updating desktop search, Google.com, with its bright, white screen and single search box will look extraordinarily different than it does today,” the report states.

Perhaps we should all make our last Google search “how to live off the grid.”
