George H.W. Bush Allegedly Voting for Hillary

He's with her.

According to Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, daughter of Robert Kennedy, former President George H.W. Bush may be voting for Hillary, thus underlining why Donald Trump rose to power in the first place.

Though this revelation has not been conclusively confirmed, Townsend maintains the former President told her this information while visiting with him in Maine. After posting the news on Facebook, Politico ran with the story, which she later confirmed.

"That’s what he said," Kennedy told Politico.

A spokesperson for H.W Bush didn't deny the report, though they maintain that his vote will remain private.

"The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days," said spokesman Jim McGrath. "He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim."

As noted by Ben Shapiro, this revelation only serves to confirm why people supported for Trump since Bush's backing of Clinton further indicates Republican elitism.

"It’s one thing to object to Trump based on policy differences and a general belief that he toxifies the conservative message," wrote Shapiro. "It’s another thing to do it because he doesn’t belong in the toney company of the blue bloods. The Bush Family feels like American royalty, and they appear to see Trump as a nouveau riche blowhard. That feels elitist rather than principled."
