He is known on Fox News as the ultimate liberal but FNC contributor Juan Williams put it bluntly on Tuesday night as it became apparent that Donald Trump was winning the Republican nomination with a decisive win in Indiana. Williams told FNC host Brett Baier that Trump is rewriting what it means to be a conservative and a Republican.

"This guy is not a social conservative, we saw that on the bathroom issue. He is not a trade conservative, he really wants to close the doors. He is not a conservative when it comes to America as a global force, he wants to pull back," Williams said.

Trump won Indiana decisively on Tuesday night, resulting in Texas Senator Ted Cruz dropping out of the race and leaving Trump to face off against John Kasich. Kasich has won only a single state, his native Ohio.

Williams pointed out that exit polls in Indiana showed that GOP voters didn't care whether their vote united or divided the party. Williams said it showed an electorate ready to tell off the party establishment.

"The issue for them is suggesting that they think the party is broken and that the party leaders have not lived up to their expectations," Williams said.

Williams said that the Republican establishment may have petered out with the Indiana vote.
