On Friday, Robert Davi challenged his fellow actors — the elitist of the Hollywood elite — to break down the security barriers at the Oscars, the tickets, and all the rules and invite illegal immigrants and refugees to sit amongst them and attend the swanky after parties alongside them.

No rules, just love.

But at last count, exactly zero actors took Davi up on the suggestion.

Davi, one of the few conservatives in Hollywood, knew even before the Academy Awards aired that no one would do this and that’s why he was there pointing out “the hypocrisy of it all” to Fox News’s Tucker Carlson.

Here was Davi’s proposal:

“I propose that Meryl Streep, Chelsea Handler, Richard Gere, Robert DeNiro, Christoph Waltz, and others lead an Oscar first: let’s do away with the rules, barriers, and tickets to the Oscars and after-parties such as the swanky Vanity Fair party or the Weinsteins’ star-studded affair. I ask all migrants, all illegal immigrant criminals, and all un-vetted refugees to converge on Hollywood, to come to the Oscars and all the after-parties, even those held at the mansion or the Chateau Marmont or anywhere else.”

“Let them come as guests,” Davi told Carlson. “Give 3,000 tickets to the illegal immigrants, the criminals, the refugees, let them enjoy the Wolfgang Puck dinners and the governor’s ball and the entertainment.”

After he recovered from laughter at Davi’s tongue-in-cheek delivery, Carlson asked a serious question: “How could you get up at the Oscars and say these are marginalized people and the president, or whomever, is a racist for wanting to keep them out, and then keep them out of your Oscar party?”

Carlson asked Davi to explain why Hollywood doesn’t actually reach out in this very real way and, say, open their Bel Air homes to refugees or host tent cities on their nine-acre lawns. Davi said they’d rather be served by these people than to serve them:

“They tip them a few dollars here and there and, you know, thank them.”

Though Davi believes many in Hollywood have “big hearts” and do good charity work, he said they’ve lost touch with average Americans and what the nation stands for.

Hollywood and Democrats share the same life slogan: Do as we say, not as we do.
