On Thursday at Harvard University, protesters interrupted a speech given by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos. Several minorities stood quietly with signs. One read, “white supremacist,” and the other, “Our students are not 4 sale.” Some students sat and raised a clinched fist. Protesters also filled the balcony with banners criticizing DeVos for pushing school choice and for her stance against the myth that college campuses are overrun with rapists.
The Trump administration is currently addressing how Title IX protections and guidelines under President Obama have allowed many false allegations of sexual assault against male students to occur. During a question and answer period, DeVos explained, “One sexual assault is one too many, but by the same token, one that is denied due process is one too many. So, we need to be sure that policy is fair to all students.”
Unlike many other interruptions to conservative speakers on campus, these protesters were largely quiet which made it easy for DeVos to ignore them. However, as she walked out of the building, the protesters began shouting, “This is what white supremacy looks like!”
Apparently, the Left has redefined “white supremacist” to mean anyone with white skin, that works for the Trump administration, that supports the Trump administration, or believes NFL players should stand for the national anthem. All qualify for the label.
Here are two videos of Harvard students finding it hard to hear another's opinion:
