Kathy Griffin got another defender in her corner this week in the form of drag queen Sharon Needles, winner of Season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Replicating Griffin's disgusting photo of herself holding a fake severed head of President Trump, Needles released a similar photo without apology, and just like before, it's completely unfunny.
According to The Wrap, Needles lip-synced to “Heads Will Roll” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs while holding “Trump's” head.
On an interview with the WOW Report, Needles defended Griffin against the "abuse" she has received.
“It's kind of mind-boggling the levels to this story, that a female comic in this day and age, who was a friend of Joan Rivers, and who was on 'Celebrity Apprentice' with our president, is subjected to this type of abuse," he said. "I mean ... if only Joan was still around. And the fact that we don't hold our male politicians to the same standard as female comedians is shocking.”
We're pretty sure that if a male politician, particularly a conservative, posed with a female comedian's severed head, it would certainly be career-ending.
Griffin has lost sponsorship deals, had shows canceled, and lost her New Year's Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper over the stunt. "He broke me," Griffin said of President Trump, refusing to admit that she broke herself.
