In an insult-laden tirade that seems written for one of his tough-guy characters, actor Robert De Niro unloaded a full minute of invectives at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in a video designed to get people to the polls this November.
As reported by The Hill, De Niro appeared in a video produced by Anonymous Content and directed by Tom McCarthy as part of an ongoing series of short interviews called #VoteYourFuture.
"[Trump is] so blatantly stupid," De Niro begins,
"He's a punk, he's a dog, he's a pig, he's a con, bullshit artist, a mutt who doesn't know what he's talking about... He's an idiot. Colin Powell said it best: he's a national disaster, he's an embarrassment to this country. It makes me so angry that this country has gotten to this point that this fool, this bozo, has wound up where he has. He talks how he'd like to punch people in the face? Well, I'd like to punch him in the face.”
"If you care about your future," the actor concludes, "vote for it."
Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, an open conservative, defended Trump on Twitter and called out De Niro for his rant, according to Fox News:
