On Sunday's State of the Union, anchorwoman Dana Bash said that the women over at Fox News are much different than those working with her at CNN when it comes to certain extracurricular activities.
Speaking with guest Mike Huckabee, Bash played a clip of his recent appearance with Megyn Kelly in which she joked with the former Fox News host that the women at the network partake in all sorts of debauchery prior to appearing on air. In the clip, Kelly said:
We are not only swearing, we're drinking, we're smoking, we're having premarital sex with birth control before we go to work, and sometimes boss around a bunch of men.
After the clip, Bash welcomed Huckabee to a more pious CNN:
So, governor, I want to tell you that here at CNN, the women are not smoking, or drinking, or having premarital sex -- in fact, no sex before work, no cursing. So welcome back to CNN.
Continuing in the light mood, Huckabee said, "I think what I should have told Megyn was, 'My gosh, Megyn, I have only been gone three weeks, and the place has just gone to the dogs.'"
He went on to explain that many took their "funny moment" way too seriously:
I was in on the joke, as was Megyn, and yet I read stories where people said, 'Megyn Kelly really took it to Mike Huckabee.' And I'm thinking, 'You guys need a sense of humor.' I thought it was hilarious. And she's a terrific person. We had a lot of fun with it.
Bash added, "We'll see if anybody takes what I just said seriously."
Probably not. Just check out one of Bash's female colleagues, Randi Kaye, who experienced "a bit of a contact high" on air when reporting on Colorado's marijuana legalization last year.
