Brokaw Shuns Light Shone on Clinton Corruption, Prefers Winning

"To go back over this now when they're trying to win..."

Former interim Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile dropped a bombshell last Thursday when a published excerpt from her book announced that she had proof Hillary Clinton rigged the 2016 primary.

In light of the breaking news, Sunday’s morning news shows gave a fair amount of coverage to Clinton and her less-than-ethical strategy to defeat opponent Bernie Sanders. However, apparently, to former news anchor Tom Brokaw, news that works against the Democratic Party should be kept quiet.

During NBC’s Meet the Press, Brokaw focused his displeasure with Brazile for exposing Clinton’s purchase of the DNC as a means to ensure her win as the Democratic nominee for president.

The segment began with a discussion between moderator Chuck Todd and left-wing Washington Post associate editor Eugene Robinson, over whether Brazile had personal animosity — and therefore a vendetta — against Clinton:

TODD:  Back now with "End Game." Gene, Donna Brazile, what did she -- what did the Clintons do to her?

ROBINSON:  That's a good question I'd like to know. Maybe I'll give her a call.

TODD:  I don't know what other way to ask this question.

ROBINSON: No, it's a good question. She just said this morning on another network, you know, anybody that didn't like her telling her story can go to hell. So, she's determined to tell her story and I too think there must have been some interaction between her and the Clinton campaign, between her and Clinton, some interaction that left a very sour taste in her mouth.

Brokaw interjected with a decisively dismissive view of Hillary’s scandalous stealing of the nomination, preferring to characterize Brazile as a kook. Furthermore, the retired anchor asserted that the priority of the party was to win the upcoming congressional elections, and that they should let sleeping dogs lie with regard to Clinton:

“Donna is well-known, as you all know, for kind of ready, fire, aim on a lot of the stuff she does…But to go back over this now when they're trying to win congressional races and trying to get ready for '18 seems to me to be beyond counter-productive.”

As a Democrat, Tom Brokaw would like the party to move forward, while the world turns a blind eye to Hillary’s further-established corruption. After all, the 2016 Democratic primary is in the past. Brokaw is not alone among his fellow leftists. Curiously, however, they didn’t seem to hold the same “the past is the past” attitude with regard to Donald Trump during the election. The Left -- including those who report the news -- don't want fairness; they want victory.  By any means necessary. Truth be damned.
