Updated 2:00pm ET: CBS Boston reports that the FAA has revised the report to indicate that the passenger did not try to enter the cockpit, but instead tried to open an exit door during the flight and had to be forcibly restrained.
Original: Breaking on Twitter in the around 1:20pm ET on Tuesday is news that a passenger on a British Airways flight bound for Boston had to be restrained after trying to force her way into the cockpit. From WCVB in Boston:
Flight 213 had departed Heathrow Airport in London Tuesday morning.
The woman was described as abusive and unruly by British Airways.
"Our customers and crew deserve to have a safe and enjoyable flight and we do not tolerate abusive behavior," the airline said in a statement.
The plane landed at Logan Airport at 1:29 p.m., where it was expected to be met by Massachusetts State Police, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and Homeland Security agents.
NBC Nightly News reported on Twitter that the Massachusetts State Police have met the plane on the runway.
