Police in Denver have confirmed that least one person is dead and many others are wounded in a shooting and stabbing incident at the Denver Coliseum, where a motorcycle show is taking place. Denver police have sent updates on Twitter.

Around 3 p.m. ET police began making the reports to local media and online that the incident had occurred at the large venue, but did not relate it immediately to any event taking place their. Police report that "multiple” shootings and a stabbing took place and have confirmed one fatality at this time.

In a brief Periscope webcast, police confirmed this information but were not able to release any information on the number or severity of other injuries, nor any possible motive. There is no word on a suspect or suspects at the time of this posting. We will post updates as they become available.
