Blunt: Obama Admin Always 'One Step Behind' in Managing Crises

The border, IRS, Secret Service, Ebola...

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) lived up to his last name Sunday saying that those politicians who may be spreading fear over Ebola are perhaps justified in doing so because of the government proving to always be "one step behind" in its management of crises.

He would caution against fear-mongering if there was only one instance of the government dropping the ball. However, with the multitude of scandals attached to the Obama administration, there is cause for extreme concern in how it will handle the seriousness of Ebola.

Speaking to George Stephanopoulos on ABC's This Week, Blunt said:

I would be careful about overdoing it, but I also understand that if this was one incident where people thought the government wasn't doing what the government was supposed to do, it would be much less of of a reaction than we see now, where there's this long list of the government being one step behind -- whether it's the border, the IRS, the Secret Service, now this health concern -- is more real than it would be if there wasn't a sense that the government is just not being managed in a way that people would want it to be managed.
