If you weren't already boycotting Ben & Jerry's ice cream for their support of radical causes like climate change, here's a definitive justification: the ice cream company run by activist founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield has just released a statement showing solidarity with the Black Lives Matter radicals.
Ben & Jerry’s declares in this new statement that “systemic and institutionalized racism are the defining civil rights and social justice issues of our time” and being silent about “the violence and threats to the lives and well-being of Black people is to be complicit in that violence and those threats.”
They feel they have a “moral obligation” to take a stand on this serious issue while claiming they do not support a war on cops:
We believe that saying Black lives matter is not to say that the lives of those who serve in the law enforcement community don’t. We respect and value the commitment to our communities that those in law enforcement make, and we respect the value of every one of their lives.
You cannot respect and value the lives of our law enforcement and simultaneously support the cop-killing message of the Black Lives Matter terrorists.
But we do believe that — whether Black, brown, white, or blue — our nation and our very way of life is dependent on the principle of all people being served equal justice under the law. And it’s clear, the effects of the criminal justice system are not color blind.
Speaking of being blind, Ben and Jerry clearly haven't bothered to look at the statistics that tell the true story about our criminal justice system and the supposed systemic racism that the BLM liars want you to believe infects it.
Ben & Jerry’s released a climate change-themed ice cream and a Bernie Sanders-flavored one this year (is there anything more guaranteed to shut down your appetite than the very thought of a Bernie Sanders-flavored anything?). Both Ben and Jerry were arrested during a protest earlier this year as well. Perhaps officers should have locked them up and thrown away the key.
