Actors Unilaterally Bash Trump at SAG Awards

"We are all activists."

On Sunday, actors at this year’s Screen Actors Guild awards show played a little a game of tag team in Hollywood's ongoing effort to bash Trump.

The showiest of the bunch was Scandal actress Kerry Washington, who made sure to tell her sycophants on social media she would be wearing a safety pin -- which supposedly lets oppressed minorities know that you are a "safe space" for them – on her evening gown.

“I’ll be wearing one of these tonight. On my arm. To show solidarity,” she wrote. “We will not stop fighting for our safety & the safety of our fellow citizens and human beings. #NoBanNoWall#safetypin.”

Speaking to the camera later, Washington spoke about how actors should consider themselves activists and keep fighting no matter what.

“A lot of people are saying right now that actors shouldn’t express their opinions when it comes to politics. But the truth is, actors are activists, no matter what,” Washington said. “We embody the worth and humanity of all people. This union really helps me to do that. I’m Kerry Washington, and I am an actor.”

Gee, and actors wonder why they're considered narcissists.

Others went the usual route of employing red carpet stunts or just plain filibustering the microphone during their acceptance speeches. Thank actress Meryl Streep for that last one.

Stranger Things actor David Harbour implored the audience to punch people in the face for supporting Trump and  HBO’s Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus derided Trump’s so-called immigration ban as “un-American.”

It's virtue-signaling business as usual for Hollywood.
