Trump Slams Schumer’s Program that Allowed NYC Terrorist in U.S.

An immigration program conceived in the 1990s by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was criticized by President Trump on Wednesday morning because it allowed the Islamic terrorist who killed eight in New York City on Halloween into the country.

Trump stated on Twitter:

The 29-year-old terrorist from Uzbekistan, Sayfullo Saipov, entered the U.S. in 2010 because he qualified as being from a foreign state given visas because of low numbers of immigrants from that particular country. Trump continued nailing the disastrous program:

 

 

Schumer responded with his own criticisms of Trump politicizing a national tragedy:

Schumer forgot that he politicized the Las Vegas shooting two days after when he went after the NRA, but who's keeping count?

The senator went on to compare Trump with George W. Bush after 9/11 and called on the president to “immediately rescind his proposed cuts” to “anti-terrorism funding:”
