NBC announced on Tuesday that Donald Trump will host Saturday Night Live on November 7, 2015.
Trump told The Hollywood Reporter in August that NBC had recently asked him to host, but he was unavailable. "I had a great time," Trump said of his first time hosting the show in 2004. "They actually asked me to do it a second time, but I wasn't able to do it because I was away."
His turn as host comes several weeks after Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's appearance on the season premiere. So far this season, Taran Killam has been impersonating Trump on SNL.
Trump and NBC had "parted ways" back in July, after the network said the presidential candidate made "derogatory statements" about Mexican immigrants being criminals and rapists. NBC replaced former California Governor Arnold Swarzenegger as the host of Trump's reality show "Celebrity Apprentice."
Bob Greenblatt, NBC's Entertainment chairman said that Trump would not be returning as host of Celebrity Apprentice -- "absolutely not" -- but did say Trump was welcome on the network's late night entertainment shows.
Trump's SNL appearance will take place three days before the fourth GOP presidential debate, on November 10.
