WOW! CNN Anchor Doesn't Recognize National Anthem

It sounded Russian to them.

Okay, CNN, this is the last straw!

On Thursday, when President Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, a band played our national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner" by Francis Scott Key. The same tune that’s heard a million times before every sporting or national event in the country. It’s easily the most recognizable tune in the United States… unless you’re CNN.

In an embarrassing gaffe on Thursday, CNN anchor Poppy Harlow introduced the video of the band playing and described it as the French national anthem.

“Let’s just listen in to the French national anthem for just a moment,” Harlow says as "The Star-Spangled Banner" plays.

About 10 seconds pass before Harlow comes back, laughing, and says, “The U.S., American national anthem, I should say. Let’s listen.”

You can even hear someone whisper to tip her off to her mistake just before she makes the correction.

Maybe Harlow couldn't recognize because she's only heard these versions (excuse the Canadian ones):
