The only surprise about Rachel Maddow being chosen for this week's not-so-coveted TruthRevolt honor, This Week in Progressive Lunacy, is that she hasn't received it earlier. Maddow regularly says things on her MSNBC show that defy sense and truth. But she may have outdone herself with her comments on President Obama's epically disastrous nuclear "deal" with Iran this week.

Maddow claimed that the deal could represent “the major foreign policy achievement, not only of this presidency, but of this American generation.” If it does, that says way more about Obama and "this American generation" than Maddow actually intended, and not in a positive way.

She then suggested that “people in the not-too-distant future will look back at this presidency, they’ll look back at this president and they’ll say, of course they gave him a Nobel Peace Prize. Of course they did."

Um, it's pretty unlikely that the socialist anti-Americans of the Nobel Prize Committee had this Iranian deal in mind when they awarded Obama the Peace Prize six years ago, before he had any achievements under his belt, much less a Nobel Prize-worthy one. And the only peace Obama's deal will bring us is of the Neville Chamberlain sort, the tragically ironic "peace in our time." The notion that a deal paving the way for Iranian nuclear weapons will somehow defuse war with Iran is sheer progressive lunacy.
