Variety’s Inaugural Edition Has Liberal Celebs Dragging Flag on Floor

They have no clue about patriotism even though they lecture us all the time about it.

Proving the elite Left has no clue about respect and patriotism, Variety launched its inaugural edition with five uber-progressives on the cover grasping a large American flag and allowing it to drag on the floor.

Photo shoots take some time, so they were on their marks for more than just a few minutes to get everything right. And in that time, no one noticed -- or cared -- that the flag was all over the floor. Michael Moore looks to have combed his hair, so we know he was paying some attention.

Along with Moore is Hamilton star Brandon Victor Dixon; Lena Dunham, who surprisingly (but thankfully) wore clothes; mean-spirited lush and talk show host Chelsea Handler, and CNN’s "former" Communist commentator Van Jones. Five people and a crew who are apparently unaware of Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Code:

The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.

To them, the flag was just another prop. No big deal. They were clearly not thinking about the men and women who have given life and limb for that flag to protect their freedoms to stand there and be disrespectful.

It’s surprising enough that they would stand near an American flag, much less hold one. Like outgoing First Lady Michelle Obama, these folks haven’t been proud of their country for some time. To them their progressive values are what make them patriotic: denying American exceptionalism is patriotic, gun control is patriotic, socialism is truly American.

This cover says it all: the view from inside The Bubble.
