In an interview with The Daily Beast, director Spike Lee did a little reductio ad Hitlerum on presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying the Donald's rhetoric toward Muslims echoes that of a man who murdered 6 million Jews and conquered most of Western Europe.  

Asked by interviewer Marlow Stern he thought of GOP contender Donald Trump, most especially, Trump's expressed desire to potentially monitor certain Mosques and even shut them down.

"That’s like the Nazis. That’s like Hitler, Mussolini, the Axis Powers. You can’t do that!" Lee said.

Stern noted that "Since the 9/11 attacks, out of the 780,000-plus refugees that have been let into the U.S., only three have been linked to terrorism."

"But you know what Trump’s saying: 'They’re thinking about it! [terrorism],'" Lee replied.

Spike Lee's new film Chi-Raq, yet another one of his race-centered films, will be in limited release this Friday.
