A recent Saturday Night Live sketch stooped as low as their current ratings by mocking the style of a Christian charity fund that asks for donations "as little as a cup of coffee" to help children in third world countries.

"How you gonna save our lives with only 39 cents?" a villager played by a cast member asks. And that is pretty much the set up for the entire sketch.

Bill Hader, dressed like ChildFund's long-time spokesman Alan Sader, mimics the late-night commercial asking for monetary support to cover food, water, and medicine for impoverished children. Hader's character is asking for just 39 cents, offending the nearby villagers who wonder why he is pitching such a low amount. "Ask for more," one whispers on camera. "Why you starting so low?"

The villagers grow increasingly more upset at the low amount shouting, "Start higher!" The spokesperson tries to convince them that "caring and educated" people came up with the amount and they should be more appreciative, but to no avail. He ends up being surrounded by the villagers, berated, and ultimately taken hostage. An angry female shouts the ransom into the camera:

If you want to see this cheap-ass white man again, you better send us $200 cash right now! 

The big question for the SNL cast members is, did they put their money where their mock is?
