After a long hiatus from the public spotlight, former CNN news anchor Piers Morgan has come out the shadows in recent days with the announcement of his new job as editor-at-large for Britain's Daily Mail and now a scheduled appearance on Sean Hannity Monday night.
According to Mediaite, Morgan announced the "breaking news" via his Twitter account, a forum typically used by Morgan to shout anti-gun rhetoric whenever a mass shooting happens.
Morgan followed up with a few retweets of his own followers' opinion on the appearance. One, in particular, warned Morgan that Hannity will "merely berate you until you conform or spontaneously combust.”
In 2013, TruthRevolt editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro debated Piers Morgan on the issue of gun control and accused the British host of "standing on graves of the children at Sand Hook" to bully people into supporting anti-gun legislation. A little over a year later, Morgan lost his show with CNN due to poor ratings.
Earlier on Monday, Morgan told NBC’s Today that he’s “itching” to find another job in television.
