Joe Bastardi, master weather predictor for WeatherBell Analytics, continues to take the Obama administration to task over the absurd claims on global warming and plans put forth by the president on how to stop it. And now that Obama has announced the White House's most comprehensive climate change plan to date, Bastardi is turning to evidence that seems to indicate that the president is "simply anti-progress."
In a piece for Patriot Post, Bastardi included a chart that shows how the rise in fossil fuels use has a positive correlation with population growth, GDP, and life expectancy rates around the world:

This is truly amazing. To show how fossil fuels played a roll in expanding the global pie, there are many more people alive today living longer and enjoying a higher GDP. One has to wonder if someone against fossil fuels is simply anti-progress. Ironic since many in the camp of anthropogenic global warming like to label themselves “progressive.” They’re certainly anti-statistic given something like this staring them in the face.
There is another chart Bastardi would like to confront the president with; one that shows concentrations of CO2 gases having no effect on global temperature fluctuations throughout long spans of time:
Finally, Bastardi takes issue with EPA chief Gina McCarthy who herself has admitted that all the actions the president proposes to fight global warming would in fact "only prevent .01 degrees Celsius of warming." Thus his article title, "All this for .01 degrees Celsius?" And if the numbers are correct, "all this" could end up costing $2.5 trillion to cover all the regulations inside Obama's new Clean Power Plan. And that is especially disconcerting when evidence from the plan itself, as pointed to by liberal outlet Slate, still keeps coal and natural gas as the top two means of producing electricity over the next 15 years.
