Authorities are reporting that seven white men in Akron, Ohio were beaten up by a group of assailants who shouted "black lives matter" before the attack. One victim was beaten until he lost consciousness.

According to the police report, the attack happened around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Carroll and Goodkirk streets.

Police said seven white men were walking when they were approached by five black men and two white men, shouting, "Black lives matter."

The suspects reportedly hit the victims with bottles, and punched and kicked the victims. One victim fell to the ground where he was kicked in the head, ultimately losing consciousness. The group of suspects robbed the men and ran off. 

University of Akron and the Akron police located the suspects nearby the scene of the attack.
