Max Blumenthal, author of the anti-Semitic book "Goliath," started talking conspiracy theories about the pro-Israel organizations during a Monday appearance on the Brandeis campus. In his speech he spoke about the "vice grip of Zionism," "the President of Hillel," being from "the military, industrial and private surveillance complex," and the students who started a pro-Israel group as rich white and privileged.
“Now there is a movement afoot, an organic movement on campuses now, Vassar and Swarthmore, which I consider to be a movement to liberate Jews, young Jews, from the vice grip of Zionism, which is imposing a line of thinking upon them that shuns critical enquiry. It’s known as ‘Open Hillel,' and it's come under extreme attack from the Hillel national organization headed by Eric Fingerhut, the man who previously worked for a corporation deeply embedded with the military, industrial and private surveillance complex, a story that has yet to be told. And so this student who is trolling me as an anti-Semite, has with the Israel lobby helped form a parallel movement called Safe Hillel. I find this name disturbing and unusual. Who's unsafe? Your president right now is at AIPAC. Is he gonna' harm you? You're affluent, you're ultra-privileged, almost all of these students behind safe Hillel are white -- and they're demanding protection?...
Blumenthal spoke as part of Israel Apartheid week sponsored by the Brandeis Students for Justice in Palestine.
As TruthRevolt reported, Max Blumenthal’s Goliath goes beyond a simple criticism of the Jewish State and into the realm of anti-Semitism. It includes chapters linking Israel to the Nazis, with titles such as “The Concentration Camp,” or “The Night of Broken Glass,” and others equally disturbing, like “How to Kill Goyim and Influence People."
Blumenthal's book did receive a very positive review -- from former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke
