Returning from his two-week "holiday" hiatus, Jon Stewart came back with a vengeance Monday night to attack global warming skeptics and the Catholic Church for fighting the Obamacare contraception mandate in the Supreme Court.

In a segment titled, "Sisters Act", Stewart attacked the nuns for not accepting the "compromise" in the law that will "allow the nuns to sign a certification, opting out of the contraceptive requirement". The nuns say even the "compromise" violates their religious beliefs because they will still have to pay for their employees to have contraceptive coverage. Stewart responded:

You don't want to sign the form because that enables employees to get contraception? You do realize you give them paper issued by the government that allows them to get contraception, right? It's called money, and to the Nuns, you are doing nice work, but if you want to live in our "muggle" world you'll soon realize we cannot control our urges. I guarantee you workers are already using this money to buy all kinds of objectionable items, booze, cigarettes, multicolored clothing. Just because someone works for you doesn't mean you get to control their personal lives.

Translation: Churches must do everything the government dictates, even if that means violating their religious beliefs.

While true that some church employees probably do use their money to participate in activities not in line with church doctrine, the church does not actively sponsor and encourage their activity. Paying employees money for a service is neutral act and does not dictate how they can/will use it.
