The war on cops isn't limited to America.
Eyewitnesses reported that on Saturday afternoon four police officers on patrol in the Grande Borne – a notorious housing estate in Paris – were "attacked from all sides" by an unidentified mob of about a dozen, according to the UK Express. The assailants hurled Molotov cocktails at the car.
"Two of the officers were very badly burned and rushed to intensive care units," a police source reported. Two others were hurt as well but "managed to call reinforcements who turned up to secure the area." They received hospital treatment.
French President Francois Hollande condemned the violence: "Everything will be done to find the perpetrators of this attack and bring them to justice."
Don't count on it. Authorities supposedly believe the firebombing was carried out by "a drug gang," and thus local mayor Jean-Marie Vilain declared that "the next step will be to go inside Grande Borne to put an end to all the drug dealing." But this was a mob from a run-down housing project built in the 1960s, now officially classed as a "sensitive security area" -- the term which usually refers to a Muslim "no-go" zone where the police have lost control over the migrant population.

This gruesome attack took place at Grande Borne, site of tens of thousands of car burnings by Muslims over a decade ago and home to Amédy Coulibaly, the man who killed a policewoman and four people in a kosher supermarket siege during January’s Charlie Hebdo attacks.
Hollande added that the incident was "unspeakable" because it "endangered the lives of officers whose job was to protect the population."Prime Minister Manuel Valls concurred, calling the attack "extremely serious and very cowardly." Indeed, but justice for the injured officers will be hard to come by.
