As the election looms large, syndicated columnist Mark Shields and New York Times' excuse for a conservative David Brooks joined Judy Woodruff to discuss Hillary Clinton's diminishing lead, the rough language that has pervaded the campaign, the outlook for the congressional power dynamic, a year of 'irresponsibility' in government and prospects for filling the Supreme Court vacancy.

As Real Clear Politics reports, Brooks said that this election is boiling down to demographics: "Basically, less educated or high school-educated whites are going to Trump. It doesn't matter what the guy does. And college-educated going to Clinton."

While this demographic breakdown is largely true, Brooks' implication is that the college-educated left is smarter than those " less educated whites." But anyone who knows what indoctrination mills our institutions of higher learning have become over the last 50 years knows that the college-educated are not smarter than anyone else, just more smug about their imagined intellectual superiority.

Brooks said Trump is running "a campaign of hate" and he opined that globalization, the influx of immigrants, and feminism have been "really good" for America. Seriously? What world does Brooks live in?

Brooks went on to say that "you get the sense that the campaign barely matters," and that "people are just going with their gene pool." Then he went on to tease, "I can't say who I'm going to vote for, but one person is clearly disqualified for that job, and I can't mention his name."

Hate to break it to you, David, but the person clearly disqualified for the presidency is the corrupt owner of a homebrewed server which bled national security secrets to our enemies, and it's not a "he."
