Clinton Foundation Takes Big From Foreign Governments

Millions from overseas sources.

Hillary Clinton says there is nothing to see here, no worries in the foundation that bears her family name taking millions from foreign governments while she was Secretary of State. But on Monday the Clinton Foundation announced a bombshell. Fox News has the details:

The Clinton Foundation announced late Monday that it had amended its tax return forms from four separate years due to errors in the reporting of donations from foreign governments.

A spokesman for the foundation tried to claim the updated filings were not required by law but the fact is that updated filings show that over four years the foundation took in a hefty sum from governments Hillary Clinton was often negotiating with:

The amended Form 990 tax returns were for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. An affiliated charity, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, also amended its returns for 2012 and 2013.

The foundation now reports receiving $20 million in government funds between 2010 and 2013, most of it from foreign governments. The foundation had neglected to state its government funding separately from other funding sources in its original returns.

The documents also show that the Clinton Foundation raised $177 million in the year before Hillary Clinton announced her presidential run. Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called the news proof of a substantial "conflict of interest for Clinton."
