Bill Nye the Science Guy had a "heavy" message for Rutgers students this weekend about what he warned is the "no-way-out heated globe" man is creating with fossil fuels.

"Climate change is a real deal," Nye told students. "So, hey deniers — cut it out, and let's get to work."

Saying the scientific "consensus" on climate change was as strong as that about the cancerous consequences of smoking, Nye called on students to challenge the climate "deniers."

Students, who chanted "Bill! Bill! Bill!" before he took the stage, reacted positively to the speech. One student, science and biomedical engineering grad Jesse Bagley, said that while the talk was "heavy" it was "necessary."

"He's right," said Bagley. "We all have an opportunity to make a choice as far as that goes, so it was something that we needed to hear."

Nye also took a moment to briefly address racial conflict, telling students that unlike climate change, race didn't really exist, so we should all "work together."

"There really is no such thing as race," Nye said, explaining that race was a matter of climate and latitude. "We all came from Africa. We are all of the same stardust. We are all going to live and die on the same planet, a Pale Blue Dot in the vastness of space. We have to work together."

Last year, Rutgers faculty and students raised a stink about their scheduled commencement speaker Condoleezza Rice—one of the most accomplished African American women in the nation's history—calling her unfit for the address because of her role in promoting what the Faculty Council called the Bush administration's "lies" about Iraq and its inhumane interrogation practices. Rice respectively withdrew from the event, saying her invitation to speak had become a "distraction" from what should be a celebratory time.
