Ahmed Mohamed, of briefcase clock fame, is moving with his family to Doha, Qatar, after accepting an offer from the Qatari Foundation to pay for his high school and college there.

After finally meeting President Obama last night, Ahmed Mohamed and his family plan to leave the United States for the foreseeable future.
Schools from across the country have made offers to Ahmed since he was arrested at Irving’s MacArthur High last month—his homemade clock confused with a hoax bomb, transforming him into a symbol of perceived anti-Muslim bias.
But apparently it was an offer from the Middle East that most intrigued the family. The Mohameds announced today that they’ve accepted a foundation’s offer to pay for the 14-year-old’s high school and college in Doha, Qatar, which Ahmed visited a few weeks ago as he began a world tour.
Mashable adds that they chose the Qatari foundation because of its culture of "empowering young people and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity."
Ahmed was just named CAIR's American Muslim of the Year and met with the President, as well as with members of Congress in D.C. Those Democrats have called for an investigation into the kid with the briefcase device at school. Not as a security precaution, but rather to find out if the school is too mean to Muslims in their effort to protect children.
Oh, he also met with brutal dictator of Sudan, President Omar Hassan al-Bashir. Yeah.
Not that anything will change his hero status to the American left. As Ace of Spades said of Muhamad's assertion that a "Caucasian male" in his position would have been rewarded for the briefcase bomb clock:
Yes, a lot of Caucasian males are given the "smartest kid in the class" award for stupid shit.
Incidentally, notice the Social Justice Warrior terminology "Caucasian male." Well, he is a male, so why mention this?
Sounds like he's being coached on the finer points of intersectionality.
Because he's not the hero Liberals deserve, but the one Liberals need right now. Also, he's the one they deserve. And he's leaving Gotham for the Middle East. C'est la vie.
