One of the more powerful moments during the third and final presidential debate was when Donald Trump called the Clinton Foundation a "criminal enterprise" and asked Hillary Clinton if she would return the tens of millions of dollars she received through her foundation from countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar, whose governments oppress, subjugate, and even execute women and members of the LGBT community.
Trump was attempting to point out the hypocrisy of Clinton's claim that she is a champion of women and minorities, and also to highlight the corruption of her family foundation. It should be noted that through Wikileaks, we've also learned that Clinton said Saudi Arabia and Qatar are funding ISIS.
During the debate, Trump said:
"Saudi Arabia giving $25 million. Qatar, all of these countries... You want to talk about women’s rights? So, these are people that push gays off buildings. These are people that kill women and treat women horribly. And yet you take their money."
“So, I’d like to ask you right now, why don’t you give back the money that you’ve taken from certain countries that treat certain groups of people horribly? Why don’t you give back the money. I think it would be a great gesture.”
You can guess what Clinton's answer was.
Deafening silence.
