Democrats, with the help of the mainstream media, have done a good job painting Donald Trump as a racist. But in doing so, they’ve blatantly ignored the controversial members among their own ranks.
Enter Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), the first Muslim elected to Congress and supporter of the anti-Semitic Nation of Islam. Currently, he is the top pick to chair the Democratic National Convention and has secured the backing of Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Harry Reid, and Chuck Schumer.
But as a young law student at the University of Minnesota, and known then as Keith E. Hakim, Ellison penned some controversial articles for the Minnesota Daily. Such ideas espoused over multiple columns included cash reparations from whites, accusing the Constitution of being the “best evidence of a white racist conspiracy to subjugate other peoples,” and proposing a separate country for black Americans, as The Daily Caller detailed.
And yet, Donald Trump is the racist.
On Fox & Friends on Monday, Steve Doucy spoke with Blacksphere founder Kevin Jackson who eviscerated Ellison’s racist dogma and how the Democrats embrace it. He said:
“I think the bigger implication is the idea that people call Donald Trump racist when this is the person [Ellison] that the Democrats want to lead their party: a person that says black people should have a separate state…
“Keith Ellison is what I call an ethnocentric racist and everything about him has nothing to do with making America better, making the Democrat Party better; it has to do with, essentially, catering to blacks…
“If you were to reverse this — if Donald Trump or any other Republican had said what Keith Ellison said, do you believe that we could be touting this person as a leader within the Republican Party or a leader in the conservative movement? The answer is ‘no.’ He would be considered blatantly racist.”
Having said that, Jackson said he would “love to see him become the new Democrat leader because he certainly represents them very well.”
