Russia Removes Steve Jobs Monument After Tim Cook Comes Out as Gay

A monument in Russia of Steve Jobs was removed days after Apple CEO Tim Cook came out as gay.

The monument was set up by the Russian company ZEFS outside a St. Petersburg college, and a statement attributed to them run by several Russian news outlets reads, “After Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly called for sodomy, the monument was dismantled pursuant to Russian federal law on the protection of children from information that promotes the denial of traditional family values.”

However, it appears that the college was informed the monument would be removed before Tim Cook came out.

The press service of the Saint Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO) told local news outlet that the university received a letter stating that memorial would be taken to fix its sensor screen before Cook's coming out.

Students at the college also confirmed that the monument was merely being serviced for a malfunction.
