Obama to Appear on ESPN to Roll Out Obamacare Sweet 16 Bracket

President Obama announces March Madness bracket, "Sweet 16 Reasons to Enroll in Obamacare"

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller announced on Twitter Tuesday that he was “pegged” to cover President Obama as he unveiled his now annual March Madness presidential bracket with the bonus addition of his “Sweet 16 Reasons to Enroll in Obamacare.” As one follower responded, “Who knew the WH beat was going to be this embarrassing, eh Mark?”

While Putin tightens his grip on Crimea, the president has been making a last ditch, frantic push to promote his healthcare law to millennials, recently appearing on Funny or Die’s “Between Two Ferns,” eliciting the help of Lebron James, and now turning his presidential bracket release into an Obamacare PSA.

Meanwhile, journalists like CBS’s Knoller have to try to make serious news out of the president’s increasingly unserious “presidential” appearances. Knoller’s rather unenthusiastic announcement was answered by what he and the rest of his journalist peers have certainly come to anticipate: mockery and the sad, widespread recognition of a desperate presidency.
