Mika Brzezinski Tries To Blame Obamacare Problems on GOP, Gets Schooled

"The White House can sit back and be shocked that Republicans are trying to knock their head off, but it's what Democrats did to Bush, it's what we did to Clinton. It's the nature of the game."

Morning Joe co-host, Mika Brzezinski still clings to her belief that Republicans are at fault for the problems with Obamacare.

On Tuesday's program, Joe Scarborough raised the Wall Street Journal article indicating that there were only 50,000 people enrolling in Obamacare during the first six weeks of the program. Ms Brzezinski responded, "The website didn't work, we got it." When it was pointed out that the White House needs to stop placing blame and take responsibility, Mika did the White House's job, by placing the blame on Republicans. However guest Jon Meacham and host Joe Scarborough didn't allow Brzezinski to get away with it.

Brzezinski:

No, they are pointing out that everyone is making it difficult. It's not just their own botched roll out, which they take responsibility for. But every step of the way, every step of the way, the Republicans have tried to undermine this from top to bottom. And if anything probably they were part of the problem.

Meacham:

That's absolutely true, which makes it even more important to make the damn thing work.

Brzezinski:

That's right. Oh, good lord, do I want that to happen.

Joe Meacham:

Arguing well, “All right, we know the federal thing isn't working, but by God because Republicans in the states aren't letting Medicaid happen, things are really--"

Brzezinski:

Think about that.

Scarborough:

I always had an attitude when I went into a campaign. My family would be shocked when people would run negative ads and lie about me, all this stuff.  I said that's like being shocked. Like that’s like a boxer walking into a boxing ring and being shocked that somebody is trying to take your head off. It's what happens. So the White House can sit back and be shocked that Republicans are trying to knock their head off, but it's what Democrats did to Bush, it's what we did to Clinton. it's the nature of the game.
