Most people had no clue that Jim Gilmore was running for president. Now will anyone care that he is out? Because in case you didn't know, Gilmore was a Republican hopeful for the nomination and a former governor of Virginia.
In Iowa Gilmore received just 12 votes while in New Hampshire he failed to break 150 votes. In fact, Gilmore finished behind Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum - all of whom had already dropped out of the race.
After making the news known, Gilmore took to Twitter to say he will work hard to get the right person as the Republican candidate:
I will do all I can to see that our next President is a free enterprise Republican who will restore our nation to greatness and keep us safe— Jim Gilmore (@gov_gilmore) February 12, 2016
Given the lack of momentum in his own campaign, the question is, will anyone notice if Gilmore starts working hard for another candidate?
