On Tuesday's "Talking Points Memo," Laura Ingraham, filling in for Bill O'Reilly, commented on the Monica Lewinsky essay appearing this week in Vanity Fair

"Basically this woman's life was ruined, her name became radioactive and no one would hire her," Laura said. "Meanwhile Bill and Hillary Clinton went on to become one of the most admired political couples in the world."

"Monica Lewinsky was used and tossed aside," she said.

Ingraham suggested that the Monica Lewinsky case might be gaining a new relevance as Hillary Clinton's political ambitions approach their ultimate culmination.

Quoting Lewinsky on Hillary's response to the scandal, which was to blame Monica and even herself, Ingraham said, "I find her impulse to blame the Woman - not only me, but herself - troubling."

Ingraham argued that this aspect of the case cast doubt on the entire War on Women narrative that has lately consumed the Democratic Party. When liberals like Hillary and her media allies find it convenient, they exploit, abuse and dispose of inconvenient women.

"Democrats claim to champion women's rights in the workplace, against sexual harassment and date rape, but the instinct here was to duck, cover and blame the young intern."

"The Clintons pioneered the war on women in the 1990s," Ingraham concluded.
