Dennis Rodman *Freaks Out* at CNN's Chris Cuomo

"I don't give a rat's ass what you think! Look at these guys. Look at them."

Former NBA player and friend of North Korean despot Kim Jong Un led a team of former NBA stars to North Korea to play an exhibition game on the tyrant's birthday. Tuesday morning's CNN's New Day featured host Chris Cuomo interviewing Rodman and his team, who were in the North Korean capital. When Cuomo asked Rodman whether he would use the opportunity to speak to his friend the dictator about Kenneth Bae, an American citizen who has been held without charges in North Korea, Rodman freaked out.

To Cuomo's credit, despite the yelling from Rodman, he did not back down.

Cuomo:

Are you going to take an opportunity if you get it to speak up for the family of Kenneth Bae and say, let us know why this man is being held? If you can help them, will you take the opportunity?

Rodman:

The one thing about politics, Kenneth Bae did one thing, if you understand -- if you understand what Kenneth Bae did, do you understand what he did?

Cuomo:

What did he do? You tell me.

Rodman:

You tell me. You tell me. Why is he held captive?

Cuomo:

They haven't released any charges. They haven't released any reason.

Rodman:

I would love to speak on this.

Cuomo:

Go ahead.

Rodman:

You know, you gotten guys here -- ten guys here that have left their families, left they families to help this country in a sports venture. Ten guys, all these guys here. Do anyone understand that?

Cuomo:

We do. And we appreciate that.

Rodman:

I don't give a rat's ass what you think!  Look at these guys. Look at them.

Cuomo:

Don't use them as an excuse for the behavior that you're putting on yourself. You just basically were saying that Kenneth Bae did something wrong. We don't even know what the charges are.

Just then former NBA player Charles Smith who was in Rodman's party stepped in to defuse this situation.
