De Blasio Shows 'Bridgegate' Hypocrisy

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has called Bridgegate "immoral" and "not mature" but selects an occupier who blocked the Brooklyn Bridge in protest as his City Council speaker.

According to The Daily Caller, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has named a former Occupy Wall Street protester who was arrested for blocking traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge as his new City Council Speaker.

De Blasio called the actions of Governor Chris Christie's aides in shutting down lanes as "not mature" and "absolutely immoral." Yet, he sees no immaturity or immorality in his new City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito who was arrested in November, 2011 after participating in a large protest in the middle of the approach to the Brooklyn Bridge chanting, "All day! All week! Occupy Wall Street!" Mark-Viverito was a City Councilwoman at the time.

At that time in 2011, occupiers called for massive public disruptions in major cities - blocking bridges, exits and streets in California, Oregon, and Philadelphia to name a few.
