Colorado DOT Begins "Drive High, Get A DUI" Campaign

Drive High, Get a DUI

With Colorado now legalizing recreational pot use, the state’s Department of Transportation has a new campaign “Drive High, Get a DUI.”

The DOT has released 3 PSA videos geared for men ages 21-35. Each 30-second video depicts different men trying to do simple tasks under the influence of marijuana. The videos take a light-hearted approach while not trying to scare anyone into not smoking.

In a statement announcing the campaign, Chief of the Colorado State Patrol, Col. Scott Hernandez said

“As Coloradans now have more access to marijuana, we want them to be aware that law enforcement is trained to identify impairment by all categories of drugs and alcohol.”
