Colleges Not Asking Trump for Commencement Speeches, in Stark Contrast to Obama

Hardly surprising.

Whereas elite universities around the country were fawning all over a newly-elected Barack Obama back in his first year, requesting for commencement speeches, President Trump’s phone is comparatively quiet.

So far, Trump is scheduled to speak only at the conservative Christian Liberty University, where he gained the full support of President Jerry Falwell, Jr. during the election.

As The College Fix noted, “In 2009, President Obama spoke at the University of Notre Dame, Arizona State University and the United States Naval Academy. All three appearances were announced by the end of March.”

That’s despite the fact that Notre Dame has a standing tradition of inviting new presidents to speak at graduation.

At the same time, there are plenty of things keeping President Trump busy at the moment rather than waste time on a bunch of snowflakes.
