Colin Kaepernick Will Stand for National Anthem Now That He's a Free Agent

He didn't even have the guts to make an announcement.

There's a price tag associated with everything... especially if you're a liberal espousing anti-American nonsense just to get attention and suddenly realize it could cost you big bucks. That's what happened recently with Colin Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback who refused to stand for the national anthem because America "oppresses blacks." As you may have heard, the black player, who used this nation's capitalism and opportunities to enrich himself, recently became a free agent. Two days later, his political views didn't seem to matter to him as much.

Kaepernick no longer wants his method of protest to detract from the positive change he believes has been created, sources told ESPN.

HotAir called Kaepernick's bluff, saying that this "is quite the gassy euphemism for dropping his protest now that it might hurt his paycheck. This guy must be the only liberal in America who’s less eager to protest now that Trump is in office."

Colin Cowherd reflected on Kaepernick's decision to stand up. Though Cowherd didn't care about Kaepernick taking the knee for the past season, but he took umbrage at his sudden about face. "What happened to your strong belief? It's funny how it leaked...  you didn't even have to announce it. The only stories that leak are stories that people want to leak," he said on his broadcast.

"Kaepernick knows that GMs don't want you bringing politics to work. It didn't take courage when he had a contract. Now it takes courage... to go out and kneel. Courage is when you're out on the street, you need to get paid, and you still take a stand."

Of course, it was never about courage, or even America. It was -- and will always be -- about Colin Kaepernick.
