On Monday, Sue Kruczek appeared on Fox and Friends to talk about her son Nick's overdose death at 20 years old due to opioid addiction. Kruczek had written a letter to President Trump to share the tragedy, so that others may not have to endure similar heartbreak. Shortly after the segment aired, Trump posted to Twitter an assurance to the heartbroken mom that his administration is fighting the opioid, and that Nick will not have died in vain.
"Thank you to Sue Kruczek, who lost her wonderful and talented son Nick to the Opioid scourge, for your kind words while on @foxandfriends. We are fighting this terrible epidemic hard - Nick will not have died in vain!"
In a jaw-droppingly absurd response, SiriusXM host and CNN and Daily Beast columnist Dean Obeidallah replied to the President's tweet with a Politico story about Kellyanne Conway and a statement angrily calling out Trump as the cause of Nick Kruczek's death:
“Sadly Trump has put a GOP pollster in charge of the fight on opioid meaning more Americans will die because of Trump's incompetence. Trump should be charged with manslaughter!”
Obeidallah apparently has an affinity for unhinged comments blaming Trump for the death of Americans. Despite the fact that the President's budget proposal allocates billions to the Department of Health and Human Services for the purpose of "expand(ing) treatment, recovery and mental health services" regarding opioid addiction, today the left-wing CNN contributor announced via Twitter:
"If you like to see people on Medicare, food stamps and Medicaid die then you will really LOVE Donald Trump’s Nasty Budget.”
Wow. Insane. Other headline gems from the maniacal Obeidallah: "Trump May Be the Most Anti-Women US President Ever," "Trump Owes Us Money," and "SNL is Right -- Trump's Chaos is Part of a Plan." Why in the world would an organization that considers itself in the news business have such a wildly unstable leftist propagandist on its roster? Apparently, "this is CNN."
