ACLU Refuses Comment on Duck Dynasty

"No one is available to comment on that issue"

The American Civil Liberties Union touts itself as the defender of every American’s basic constitutional freedoms. Unless, apparently, you are talking about the freedom of religion.

The ACLU has been noticeably silent on A&E’s suspension of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson. Robertson was suspended after discussing in an informal way some of the tenets of Christianity in regards to homosexuality and other behaviors the Bible considers sinful.

When reached for comment by TruthRevolt, the person answering the phones at ACLU headquarters would only repeat “We don’t have anyone available to comment on that issue” when queried about the Robertson suspension. When asked if it was because they don’t engage in issues regarding Christianity, the person answering the phones said “Yeah something like that” but again said no one was available for comment “on that issue.”
