It has been announced that ultra-liberal actress/talk show host Whoopi Goldberg and 9/11-truther Charlie Sheen have signed on to do an independent drama based around the 2001 World Trade Center attacks by Islamic terrorists in New York City.
The movie, Nine Eleven, is described as depicting five people trapped in a World Trade Center elevator on that fateful morning as they struggle to cope and survive. Production began Monday and is expected to be "a highly emotional journey."
Sheen has long touted himself a 9/11 truther, not convinced that the official story is indeed what happened. Goldberg, on the other hand, compares 9/11 truthers with Holocaust deniers. So, the expectation of an emotional experience makes a lot of sense.
The film will be directed by Martin Guigui, who recently stated:
We are immensely grateful to bring this inspirational story to life. ‘Nine Eleven’ is a highly emotional journey and it took a dynamic bunch to collectively come together to make this unique film happen. We are fortunate to have such a gifted cast on board. Both Charlie and Whoopi are native New Yorkers who strongly identify with this story.
Sheen agreed saying, "I feel deeply connected to the material and I’m so excited to be working with my dear friend Whoopi Goldberg.”
