How do you like to start your Saturday morning? Well, according to the New York Post, President Donald Trump likes to start his by setting the record straight. "President Donald Trump embarked on an early-morning Twitter barrage Saturday that blasted 'obstructionist' Democrats, complained about 'intelligence leaks,' and called for investigations into 'the many Hillary Clinton and Comey crimes,'" wrote Mary Kay Linge for the paper. The president's tweetstorm had a total of eleven tweets covering a variety of topics that stretched over a course of two hours.
These tweets come just days after Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned, making way for the President's friend and Wall Street executive Anthony Scaramucci to take the position of Communications Director. According to the New York Post, Scaramucci has called for the White House to leapfrog over the mainstream media with direct messaging efforts to voters – and Saturday’s Twitter tsunami was in keeping with such a strategy."
