A Reuters five night tracking poll shows Donald Trump pulling ahead of Ben Carson and all other candidates. Trump has the support of 34% of Republican respondents compared to 19.6% for Carson. Senator Marco Rubio is well back at 9.7% support while his Senate colleague Ted Cruz sits at 7.7%.
Despite his own wealth and self-professed business acumen, Trump polls better with those making less than $100,000 a year than those making over it.
The Reuters poll runs counter to polls put out by McClatchy, Fox News and others that show the two front runners statistically tied. One thing the polls are consistent on is that Ohio's John Kasich remains in single digits. Despite his attempt to drum up support by attacking Trump, Reuters has Kasich back at 2.3% support.
