Stupid Criminals Hold Up Gun Shop, Learn the Hard Way Why That’s A Bad Idea

This is some nice shooting right here.

In Mableton, Georgia, two armed men burst inside Dixie Gun and Pawn on Monday in broad daylight and demanded owner Jimmy Groover and his employee get on the ground or die. But Groover was carrying and stopped the attempted robbery with several well-placed shots.

“Get down on the floor, get down on the floor or I’ll kill you,” Groover heard the men say. “Then they shot at me.”

Groover quickly retrieved the gun from his hip holster and returned fire, killing one suspect inside the store and sending the other one running — and he is still on the run. Police said it was a clear case of self-defense.

“I had no other choice. I had no other choice. I hate that it happened,” Groover a local news crew. “I've been doing this 30 years. Nothing like this has ever happened. I never wanted this to happen but I want to go home at night, too.”

The shop has been robbed around 20 times and Groover has had to install security bars and surveillance cameras, which caught every graphic detail of the shootout:

Though glad to be alive to get home to his family and grandchildren, Groover was shaken by what had taken place: “I hate it. I really do. I hate it. I hate it bad.”
